I've said it too, and tonight confirmed it.

He's not overly athletic either. He is able to shoot over smaller guys in college but won't be able to do that in the NBA

It doesn't help that every time I look at him he reminds me of Jordan Jefferson

Imo we need to pass on these one and doners. We should trade our draft pick. And pick up some more seasoned college players in the late first and second round.

This draft will decide Monty's future in NOLA.

The most important game of the year against a 15 seed that has no one to match up with him?

He legitimately played scared. Take what you want from it.

Porter is not a number-1 scoring option. He had to take over that role for G'Town this season due to special circumstances.

He's still a capable scorer with a very good midrange game.

Think he would be a really good player as a number-3 scorer on an NBA team. It's cliche, but he does a lot of the little things well - blocks, dimes, boards, steals, etc..

This. He will not be expected to be the best player. Number 1 or Number 2 scoring option. He would be a great glue guy doing all of the other things. In this draft, if he's the best left, he won't be a terrible pick. However, it is disappointing that he looked overwhelmed at times tonight. I'm going to chalk this up as an anomaly because he's shown up in every other big game that they've had.

Three potential top 5 picks have already been bounced in the first round.

None of these guys are NBA stars. Its why we have to look at their bodies of work through the season.

Imo, the only potential 10 pick in this tournament that could drag his team on his back to a Final 4 is Trey Burke. I think he's the best player in the country and reminds me so much of Chris Paul in college. His problem is that he's gonna be fortunate to measure in at 6' without shoes. But he's the best true point guard in college basketball and he totally controls games. I could see him going on a crazy run through the tournament.

He's an all-around good college player with bad athleticism...I much prefer Shabazz, because he has a higher ceiling, imo. Porter has no star potential.

I still like him, but he's third on my list....Oladipo, Shabazz, Porter.

People are reacting a lot from one game without a lot of knowledge of a guy's season, but you still would like to see more from a player on the big stage.

It's one game, but it's an important game.

Shabazz is phenomenal at getting others involved, terrific at getting in the passing lanes and getting steals, unbelievable on the boards. Star potential written all over him.

...because nothing screams star potential for a SG/SF like being "unbelievable on the boards". #thechiefhasarrived

...college production doesn't translate often.

Shabazz doesn't do anything, though. If all you want is a scorer, go trade for Beasley. At least he's 6'10

Shabazz, Porter, Smart, Bennett. 4 potential top 5 picks bounced in the 1st round.

And Mclemore played like crap...

Nerlens Noel is somewhere rubbing his knee with a smile on his face
