Just saw the trailer for Fast and the Furious 6.... (Which is five too many).

Got me thinking, what are some movies that you believe should NOT have had a sequel? Or 3rd or 4th etc...

The latest one (Fast Five) was better than the previous 4.

When people stop paying money to watch sequels, then it's too much.

Four is too many. It has to be a great story for a trilogy. Also Movie/TV bored is your friend.

Never too many if it's Death Wish.

Just think about this. The Resident Evil franchise keeps pumping out terrible movies but altogether the movies have had a $248,000,000 budget and they have grossed $897,586,198 in box office revenue. $650,000,000 profit. Stop watching these movies pricks.

The first one was fricking sweet.

By the second, it was completely played out.

bullshite

the fast and furious series should never end! they should keep getting back together for one last job as long as they are making bank off them. it gives Vin Diesel something to do

Hot bitches and fast cars. It could theoretically go on forever.

Just checked. The collective budget for the F&F movies = $409 mill. Worldwide gross = $1,591,404,818.

I never really think about how successful they are internationally. I bet F&F gets half of their revenue from Japan, especially after Tokyo Drift.

But to answer the OP, they should never go past 4 with the same director/cast. I like how the Batman movies and a few others are revived in trilogies done by different people but that's clearly a different story.

They should never ever go past a trilogy. And they should think very hard before making the third films. Let's look at how many letdowns we've been through after great first two: Terminator 3, Die Hard 3, Godfather 3, Rocky 3, Mighty Ducks 3
