We have planted merigolds with our gardens for years, the best part is they produce big seed heads and if you dead head them you have pleny of seed for the next year.

However, any list that neglects lemon grass as a mosquito deterant yet includes pennyroyal despite its high toxicity to humans and pets is a bit suspect.

Not really a garden tip, but planting related:

Black walnut trees will kill apple trees.

I've planted marigolds but did it cause it keeps some bugs away that are detrimental to tomatoes. Didn't know it was supposed to affect taste but will open link and look.

Plant Cayenne Pepper next to your tomatoes. It makes them delicious!

Bluberries too, it's mind blowing.

Keep throwing your watermelon plant runners back on top of the row/bed. They won't take over the yard and you'll be able to keep the grass cut AND still be able to find the melons cause they'll show up.

Cool chart.

I also like the lemongrass beta that was provided.

Anyone try something like this?
