Taking on a Nnamdi deal just doesn't seem to fit in with what Payton says are the biggest needs for the team.

@LarryHolder: Payton said he called Parcells and Gruden to help defend single wing teams in his son's youth league.

Yeah I agree with what his potential is, especially in robs system in the past. I guess we would somehow make it work but it seems like a pretty difficult task with the little money we have to spend

Payton said he looks at the left tackle spot on his depth chart board as being blank. Issue with Charles Brown is not being "available."

Just read this as well, are we about to trade Charlie???? Or he just not confident enough in him to start?

My belief is he is good enough, just not reliable due to injury issues.

Dude what is your deal? You need a hug or something?

You sure do spend a lot of time on a Saints message board for someone who isnt a 100% fan.

I've been on this board since the beginning of FA. I just like seeing Chad get his panties twisted.

But you also have to acquire the right talent for the right price. You shouldn't acquire the wrong talent for the wrong price just purely out of need. Then you end up with jason david on your roster. If you have an opportunity to upgrade any position, you have to consider it strongly.

As others have said, he means that Charles Brown is always injured when he says he's not available.

Its a bit of relief to hear him talk about Pass Rush and LT keeping him up at night.

We ALL know that's the needs, we all know they know that...but its nice to hear out loud that they are cognizant and are working on it.

I have to think they are going to do everything they can to address one or the other (more likely LT) in FA and draft the other in Round 1, if the right talent is available.

Press Conference just aired on NFL Network! " When you are at the bottom in rushing the football and dead last in run defense, it makes for alot of work!" being balanced is is key for success in the NFL. stopping the run will be paramount to success this year as well as getting pressure on the QB. Also said stopping the read option will be a major priority in the NFC. It can make you look silly at times.

That's also one of the reasons why I think they will be dubious on Mingo. He won't do shite against the run and will be almost exclusively a Pass-Rusher. And our Division we have some teams that can run the ball.

I'd still like to have him as we need that element, I just don't know what the Saints think of that.

Also, there are still quite a few OT's in FA:

LINK

I'd be completely shocked if we didn't address that in FA.

shite, get Nnamdi, Victor Butler and an OT, and go into the draft drafting whatever the frick you want. Make it happen Loomis

Interesting to hear a humble SP:

Larry Holder ?@LarryHolder 1m
Payton said it's dangerous to have a mindset and "not real" to think his return to the #Saints will bring team back to 2009-2011 success.
