Had the shrimp with Swiss and roast beef gravy, gf had the hot sausage. I used to think this place was just ok, but it was really good this time. Notice they take cards now which is good. $25 for 2 poboys, 2 beers, and chips. I'll take that.

Place gets hated on here, but I like it.

Domilise's

Seems to be one of those old traditional neighborhood places that manages to get by on mediocrity. Been many times. Don't exactly hate it, but there are so many better choices, imo.

I've only been once and I really want to love this place, but I just can't. I love the whole laid back, dive-bar esque vibe and the po boy joint that is located in dead middle of a neighborhood. The waitstaff and bartenders are always friendly and welcoming. The prices there are some of the lowest in town. That being said, New Orleans offers better po boys (I can think of three or four in a 2 mile radius). Also, I despise ketchup on the po boy. I'll save it for my fries.
