Bottom line: 100 teams in the two tournaments (68 NCAA, 32 NIT). 15 teams got autobids with RPIs worse than 100. LSU's RPI was 86. Do the math. It didn't add up. It would have taken a nice break for LSU to get in. LSU didn't get the break. But it didn't get screwed either.
