Video: LINK
The top levels have a new design that they are calling "Sonic rings".
The building design is supposed to resemble a "SuperSonic jet turbine"
Rough draft hockey renderings

I was always a fan of the Seattle's shitty color scheme

Outside design is still pretty terrible.
Not sure I like the Sonic Rings either.

I want to know where they'll find the people who want to stand on the roof to watch a game. That'll be cool the 1st month it's open.

I think they're going to essentially be like the first few rows of an upper deck level.

It looks on top of the upper deck in those renderings.

I don't understand the rings. So they are standing room only? How the hell is that going to work?

If they could really build it there, that would be incredible. You could theoretically watch the Seahawks, walk across the street to Safeco and catch part of a Mariners game, and then go another block down and watch the Sonics that night.

Isn't the longshoremans union protesting the location of that Arena?

Seattle Super Sonics
just need Gary Payton and Sean Kemp back.

Really like the design and the interior until reach the "Sonic rings." Not sure what to think about those.

I think it's basically just going to be a few rows of seats. So a few shallow upper decks.

It's already been approved and will start pretty much as soon as an NBA team is confirmed, which should be next month. The land is already purchased and everything, so that's where it will be built.

Yeah, they're dumb. That won't stand.

I am becoming more and more of a fan of Seattle, as a sports team and as a city in general. It looks like they are creating an "Olympic" center with three major stadiums all in the same area

Philly has all 3 major sports facilities in one area outside the city next to each other.
