Or you can just grow up, concentrate on football, and have enough self discipline to keep yourself out of trouble.

if you have a problem with alcohol, you don't buy a bunch of beer and just "have the self-discipline" to not drink it. you keep the beer out of the house.

if you have a problem being faithful, you don't go out dancing with a bunch of skanks and just "have the discipline" to keep your hands off. you go drinking with your guy friends, or play poker. or go to the movies.

he's making the right decision and he's being honest with himself. if he's around all the thug friends he grew up with, he's going to have a real hard time staying out of trouble. smart move by him.

That's my point...I have been to New Orleans many times and didn't go down Bourbon Street. It doesn't matter where you live, trouble is right around the corner. If he is focused on getting clean, it shouldn't matter if he lives in New Orleans. He can still avoid those temptations by staying home and not associating in those environments.

I appreciate his attempts to better his life, but the ultimate problems he has created on based on the decisions he made. He can better his life by resisting outside influences and temptations, not simply avoiding them.

How do you beat temptation?

Remove yourself from situations where you have potential to be tempted. Don't even go there...

Don't make it difficult on yourself. You'll be tempted when you least expect it, so why set yourself up?

As much as love to see him suit up in the Black & Gold, I'd rather see him get a good foundation somewhere else, then finish his career in NO.

Good luck badger!!!

All this BS about a substance that, in reality, is better for you than cigs or alcohol. Some politicians (the finest citizens around) back in the day wrote something on a piece of paper and now its a no no. More "protect the people from themselves" BS. Its a f*cking joke IMO. Flipside-you do the crime, you deal w/ consequences. He did have plenty of chances...but I will pull for him & wish him (or any other athlete that suits up for LSU) the best no matter what.
