Depending on the money it will take to land him, I would rather the Saints go after two players for his price. He is going to rake in 10-12 million in the open market for sure...

but i dont think he'll fit our budget

We are going to be hard pressed to find quality talent that will fit within the budget.

I don't think Harrison works either.

You really think there's that big of market demand for him? I think he's still got da bit left but he is 35.
I'd like Kruger, I just don't think there's anyway we can get Kruger for the price we need

Is he bringing Terrell Suggs, Ed Rees, ray Lewis, and dannell ellerbe and haloti ngata with him? Hell I could get 10 sacks with those guys around me.

Do not want

Just read Brett's post. Holy shite he's 35? Wtf. HELL NO. We need to get you get and cheaper on the defense. Not older and more expensive.

Well that makes more sense as to why he's in such high demand

Suggs missed half the season (the second half, when Kruger really stepped up). Ngata obviously plays a big part, but he missed most of the SB and Kruger still got 2 sacks. Lewis wasn't very good last year. Ellerbe is solid, but so is Lofton. Reed has a very marginal effect on Kruger's performance.

Lewis was actually very good even coming back after injury. He had double digit tackles in every playoff game I believe

yeah, I was going to say. He did lead the team in sacks. I think they also got some pretty good play from Upshaw too though. He didn't get very many sacks but he had the most tackles for a loss(for the Ravens).

Ozzie Newsome always does a stellar job in the draft. I think Kruger is a pretty good player but there is that thing with the money....

Here was the tweet

quote:

@PSchrags: Hearing that the BROWNS, SAINTS, and COLTS all very interested in Paul Kruger's services. We could see an old fashion bidding war tomorrow.

If its a bidding war, I don't see how we're players

We have this magical ability to make players wanna play for us for less, unless they don't want to.

That would be pointless

Teams know the Saints cap position so they know what they can/cant offer so they know its BS

Plus why would the Saints care how much two AFC teams want to pay for a guyfrom another AFC team?
