Not to detract from a great team effort and some awesome performances by many Tigers players so far this season, but the back to back punch these two are bringing to the plate is spectacular. With this hitting prowess , strong pitching, and overall good team play, the season looks bright.

And it's gotta help their game to have so many of the new guys stepping up and getting hits and quality at-bats - takes a little of the pressure off.

Laird is who I am most impressed with so far. I expected rhymes and katz to be good.

Absolutely...to think we almost missed out on this kid completely.
I also love the depth we have in the OF. Stevenson and McMullen are solid and that competition for playing time keeps all these young outfielders focused and hungry.

Sciambra has been a solid lead man and has played good center field, either use Sciambra or Rhymes as a DH and let Stevenson play OF?

The only thing hurting this scenario is Tyler Moore's hot bat. He is becoming hard to keep out of the lineup.
