NO. I recommend shadowing a doctor you know from your community. All of this "manufactured" resume building is a croc. She should focus on making good grades and being herself. I knew people that took "music appreciation" just so they could hobnob with some admissions official. Be yourself. Anything else is too difficult. I am an M.D. and think the admissions process needs to get rid of some of the silliness.

I Kige this. A friend's two kids are both in med school now. One played college soccer and the other was a nationally recognized classical saxophone player. Helped them out bigtime in the admissions process.
