yeah, the market is just so saturated now with media jobs relative to the advent of the internet too .. it is as if the attitude is "here .. do this for pennies, if you don't like it, step aside and the next guy will do it for pennies .." .. you almost have to be somewhat entrepreneurial to make any decent money on television anymore, at the local level ..

My first job was right at $28k in 2011. No benefits or shite like that, only mileage. Some weeks, I made more on mileage than I did on salary. Had to come back to school because I would've stayed at that salary for 5 years, then gone up to $35k for 10 years, then $45k. frick that

$9.00 per hour, after 90 days it went to $9.45. Sperry in 1984. I was overpaid. It was a big step down in pay from offshore, but it got me into IT.

Out of college I was making $30k, three years later making $40k. I'm fine with that for now. I have the house and car I want and go on a couple of vacations a year.
