The only thing that may slow you down a bit is this little cold snap but it may not even phase you at all.

Hey yuppie boy you got to have the levees to keep the water in the pond ...I kid I kid...but the levees are there to keep the water in the pond (and to keep it level).
You should have seen Hwy 90 between Rayne and Duson after that big rain we got a while back. It looked like a big arse lake on the south side of 90.

so where can i get some cheap crawfish around gramercy? also nobody must have told galliano this cuz this one restaurant is charging out the arse and them suckers were young, you couldnt even squeeze the head or tear the tail off because it would just tear in two. I was disappoint

as others said, they are levees to keep the water level consistent. It is also where baby crawfish like to stay until they mature.

It's just the annual (i.e. every single year) excuse to artificially inflate crawfish prices
too wet, too dry, too cold, too warm, late freeze, early freeze...
every single year there is some excuse why prices need to be higher this year

crawfish farmers can complain until they are blue in the face but price isn't going to go up unless supply decreases or demand increases
