According to Rivals, we have offered him and that Chavis himself is taking part in his recruiting. Question, do we have any shot at him, anyone having anything as far as his thoughts or anything he has said regarding LSU?

VT seems to think they got him, which is funny to me.

As for our chances, I'm not holding my breath.

I thought Alabama was pretty high on him? I wouldn't mind losing him to FSU as much, obviously.

I think I've read that he is definitely more of a 4-3 DE.

Better than the alternative.

I'm pretty sure every team in America is high on him. He's the #1 recruit in the class.

If VA Tech could reel in the talent in their area in 2014, they could be in play for a top 5 class.

If he is an FSU lock it's because Bama doesn't want him obviously

Yep but Virginia could make the same case as well. They just got Blanding today. Hand doesn't seem interested in UVA. My guess Hand ends up at VT

Gotta make the offer; gotta work your a** off to get him. If he says no, okay. Tiger Stadium is a lot more fun and we put a lot more players in the NFL than most schools. Chavis > Beamer ball.

Damn.. that's a huge pickup for them. So much talent in that state this year.

We all know about Texas, California and Florida, but to me some of the best quality players come out of Louisiana and Virginia(That DC-Maryland-VA) area. Alot of good players. Shame Virigina or Va Tech have not been able to lock that area up lately, it sure has helped LSU since we did with Louisiana.

DMV has so much talent. Maryland Virginia and Va tech are starting to capitalize on it more and more. Teams like Penn state used to clean up prospects from there, and va tech hasnt faired terrible in the past. Some of the prospects from southern VA, like virginia beach look south, at some of the carolina school for instance

Blanding committed to UVA. Virginia is stacked for 2014.

In any given year the talent around the Virginias is good enough to field a top 10-15 team, problem is too many teams in that area rely on the talent and the kids never all go to the same school.
