Highly doubt that. I apologize just wanted high character players on the team.

He also has the fact that he's a Top 3 WR of all time what does Mathieu have? 2 years of college and lost brain cells

You just proved his point. Moss had red flags coming out of college too, and he still became one of the best receivers ever.

Do I want Mathieu on the Saints? I'm not sure. I guess it depends where he falls.

Will defend Mr. Tommy all day. His family is great as well.

Definitely the best.

Without a doubt.

Also known as how long it will take him to serve his first 4 game suspension

Sean Payton was suspended for a year.

Was he worth it?

I want guys that will help the team win. No one wants low character guys, but I don't know if having a weed problem is "low character", especially if he's truly trying to stop.

Not a good comparison since he was suspended after Payton bringing us a Super Bowl. Ask me in 06 and I'll say no

It has the possiblity of being a serious problem, imo.

It has the potential to sideline a player just when you come to depend on him for every game.

Those damn suspensions seem to come when you least expect it...

BTW, since it was brought up, did Moss ever miss games due to a substance suspension? I don't remember.

I remember Moss hitting a cop with his car while weed was in the car.

Can't remember if he was suspended.

Lol. Why are Bama fans butthurt when they spanked LSU for a NC?

Because this has nothing to do with LSU or BAMA. It has to do with the NFL and trusting a 20 year old kid with lots of money and responsibility.

Not undersized. 5'9" is fairly common for CBs.

He measured in at hair over 5'8 and that's fricking short for an NFL player any way you slice it.

Nickle CB or a Punt Returner

EXACTLY!!!

The Saints have too many holes and too few draft picks to go wasting one on a Nickle CB and return specialist with proven issues off the field! I get that you all loved him at LSU and he was fun to watch but try to be level headed and take off the purple and gold glasses while we're talking Saints.

quote:

Headcase. Maybe. He likes weed.

This would have been an acceptable excuse the first time he got busted, but after he continued to smoke pot even after it had ruined his college career is appalling.

quote:

Saints fans are focusing on him because of his SKILLSET, not because he went to LSU.

You're wrong. I want a ball hawk, Darren Sharper type in our secondary as much as anyone but TM isn't that guy. The only reason he gets so much attention with Saints fans in this draft is because he went to LSU.

Actually this thread is about a Hall of Fame Cornerback and Returner making comments on Tyrann Mathieu that has no fricking affiliation with LSU nor the Saints so get your facts straight bitch.

This

There are many Alabama fans who are also Saints fans and are completely level-headed, rational people. But damn there are a lot of them who are straight assholes involving anything louisiana besides the saints

I love TM7, he was a great Tiger to watch. However, he cannot stay in Louisiana. He needs to get far, far away from "era nation" and all of his Nola connections. Hopefully PP7 convinces Arizona to take him; new England would be a good fit as well.
