This movie starts out so well, then takes a nosedive rather quickly when they are all locked in the house with that guy. Anyone agree?

The girl screams too much and the teen was annoying but otherwise I thought it was good.

Isn't that the one with Tom Cruise?

If so I agree. Spot on.

i thought it was still a good movie.
the girl screaming was too much.
the basement scene dragged out a little too long.
and then all of a sudden they go from that farm back to Boston, overnight? little bit too fast of a jump here.

i'd still give it 3.5 stars.

Tim Robbins tries to dig out if this movie just like in Shawshank. Damn basement scene does just keeps going and going.

There are some good scenes. The one in the van with everyone jumping on the car is good.

I really like the ferry scene in this movie, and the afterward where they see all the clothes in the river. But yes, both kids were annoying and the son should have died

I actually like the movie up until the silly Disney ending.

You mean the ending where the aliens die of infection? Like the original ending?

I was upset that they didn't change the ending because I had already seen this movie (and read the book). Why did I want to see the exact same movie again?

All I know is that the original 1954 movie is my favorite of all time...I didn't take too well to the fact they re-made the movie, and then to put in someone I can't stand (Tom Cruz) just about put me over the edge. I try to just think of it as a different movie...

The sound the alien ships make sounds great on surround sound.

I had no problem with the aliens dying. The Disney ending was the crap with the son.
