Honestly though, don't you think most people will have forgotten about this in 3 years or so when it is time to start the election process again? There isn't anyway he could realistically roll this into a campaign. Just my 2 cents.

I think it is a stretch to roll directly into a campaign, but I don't think this will be over within a week or two. Figure a year lead up to the election, he would have to span 24 months, 18 if this can drag on and reveal some sort of corruption in the mayors office.
It would hurt him to sue the city, but there are other ways to stay relevant while building a base. BR would elect a white mayor-prez, Kip lost to a white guy his first two go rounds. If Bernhard didn't buy him into office he may still be outside looking in.

It would be interesting to say the least. And just to be straight, I have always liked Kip and do think he has done some good things for the city. However, I will say that I am unimpressed with the lack of transparency that his office provides. Some issues he has has in the past with the Metro Council come to mind. This is just another example of it. Only time will tell I guess what exactly happened and who is mostly at fault. I would imagine both sides play a part.

I feel the same. I think he points the parish in the right direction in a few key areas. Crime is the most glaring issue at this point and honestly I have never seen him do jack to really address it. He has large dreams, which is cool, but doesn't take practical thought into consideration.
After seeing this run in, and then how he handles the metro-council, I think the common denominator is him. Holden seems impossible to work with if your views conflict with his in any way.
