Serious question: Does Jacksonville really not want or care about their franchise? Never been there.
I went to a Saints-Jaguars game there several years ago, it was the River City Relay game.
The crowd there wasn't terrible but it wasn't like they were that good that year either. I think they have only had like 2 or 3 winning seasons since then. In most cities, people won't go watch a team who doesn't win consistently.

The Alamodome would have to be leveled and rebuilt. It was built in the 1990s just prior to the modern stadium boom and lacks in modern amenities necessary for an NFL franchise.
So what's your point? Is it modern or not, it was built in the 90's, it's not that old. Are you comparing it to reliant stadium? It's right on par with the Georgia dome, and that is home to an NFL team.

The Saints were garbage that season.
But the attendance numbers for the Saints in 2005 at the Alamodome were: 58688, 65562, & 63747 which is pretty respectable.
If I remember right they were giving away alot of tickets or at the very least selling them for very little.

Well, there probably aren't many Saints fans in San Antonio. Especially in 2005 when their name was synonymous with losing. The games were played in SA spontaneously due to the hurricane. They didn't have a lot of time to sell tickets, which probably made it hard to sell tickets for a regular price. But people still came out and watched.

There is a select number of Jacksonville fans that care but a lot of them follow other teams. You're just now getting to the point where the generation that grew up watching the jags their entire lives are going to be getting old enough to buy tickets for themselves soon. But like any city, you win, you'll pack the stadium.
