Sorry, I know i'm in the minority, but Rivers definitely does not have this ball handling ability that people love to talk about. You can't tell me a guy is a great ball handler when he crumbles anytime he's pressured, immediately picks up his dribble and looks to give the ball up. He has no left hand and gets stripped from behind more than anybody i've ever seen. He has a nice right to left crossover that looks cool vs high school kids on youtube

Austin is already improving as a Basketball player. He maybe our best preimeter denfener. He has the best handle on the team. once he continues to improve his jumper, left had & free throw shooting. he could be a 20/8 guy in this league. Greivis will be a backup PG in 2 years
While i agree that AR is improving you're being ridiculous about the 20/8 and Gravy being a backup

I am too. People are smoking if they think we can get Thompson AND Barnes for Gordon, though.

That's interesting. They must be panicking a bit with injuries/losing streak. $25million per year for a starting backcourt that has played in 101 games combined since last season? Seems like a reach to me. But if they want to get rid of a rookie controlled 6'7" shooter for an injury prone and mopey max player, I'm in. Vasquez/Mason/Thompson/Anderson/Davis all offense lineup would be a treat to watch.

Then the Pelicans would be in the same position that GSW is in now; that there wouldn't be a player on the roster that can break down the defense in crunch time to create offense at the end of games, shot clocks, etc... With that said, I'd absolutely do it if it were Klay and Barnes for Gordon. For just Klay, I'd pass.

From Golden State's perspective, I understand why they'd want Gordon's finishing ability. Almost every playoff game comes down to the last few minutes, with the ball in a perimeter players' hands. Its why i didnt like the Rudy Gay trade for Memphis. He's overpaid, but he's one of the best late game scorers in the league and he's already hit 2 or 3 game winners for Toronto. Now they're leaning on Conley? Bayless? But Gordon's salary and injury history...plus his knee doesn't even look healthy, he's still dragging his leg around. For the Hornets, it would be great in just about every way. You can put Thompson at the 2 or 3, opens up the draft for us, even more cap room... I'd be shocked if Golden State did it

Meh. I would think about it if Gordon really does want out of here, but Thompson is a big downgrade at the 2 and Biedrins is a waste of cap space. I do like Draymond Green but I doubt he becomes much in the NBA.

We're still building though. They're trying to win playoff games now. We have an offseason and draft to find that guy. And thats IF we actually think we can be a playoff team next year.

I can understand that, but to me it's not that big of an issue. I just think Hero Ball is overrated. Much rather see teams run any sort of set than dribble out the clock, pull up J

Did not know this about Gay. Very interesting.

If they were smart they would run the end of game offense through Gasol in the high post.

It's so incredibly hard to find a guy like that, though. I love Klay, but I'm not giving up the potential of a healthy Eric Gordon for him.

If Gordon was healthy, with no injury history, we wouldnt even be having this conversation. But thats not the case. Their numbers are almost identical, but one guy is younger, healthier, and makes $10 mllion less

I agree, but we know that almost never happens. Its usually a guy spreading the floor, running the clock all the way down, and eventually taking a long contested jumper.

I understand that. And Klay's a great piece. But guys that can breakdown defenses in crunch time situations are just too difficult to to find to let Gordon go for just Klay.
