Does anyone know what the team batting average was in the friday game?

It was .300, or 9-30: LINK.

It's sort of weird to only score 1 run when your top 4 batters get 7 hits, but whatever. I had to miss the game so I can't really comment, other than to say that it looks like Sciambra, Rhymes, & Jones got on base 9 times in 11 plate appearances, while the rest of the team struggled.

In 8 innings, LSU scored 1 run while leaving 7 on base, but I don't want to give the "timely hitting" crowd any ammunition, because I think they're bigger retards than the "missed tackles, lack of execution" crowd from football. Heck, they're probably the same people.

UM - Sr. LHP Jimmy Reed (1-3, 2.70 ERA, 60.0 IP, 16 BB, 52 SO in 2012)

Yeah, he's an ace alright...

1 run is all it took based on good pitching & defense. I'll take a 1-0 to win the opener or any other game necessary to get to Omaha.

Until CPM realizes this travesty we will have to win by manufacturing runs instead of the way most LSU fans like.

That is exactly what I want to see from our pitchers. Nice observation Mick. Maryland ZERO runs. No run production!

I know it's early but I don't see us getting into the CWS with another year of lack of run production. This is a consistent problem in recent years and it is the reason we are not winning at a rate LSU baseball should.

We say the same BS every year about giving him a chance, but Javi needs to go. He has had plenty of time. Nothing will ever change with him
