Watching this right now. I don't get the absolute hatred of this movie. It's just so gloriously awful, that I actually enjoy it. Seriously, I'm laughing my arse off on how ridiculous and how much it misses the mark. Seriously, where does Freeze get these goons and light a frozen cigar. The cold puns just send me over the edge on this. What a great unintentional comedy.

And why does Alfred's niece from England have a valley girl accent?

I love it and think it's pretty awesome.

But for all the wrong reasons.

Why did Batman adopt a 28 year old man?

Batman Forever is equally as cheesy/campy as B&R imo

Batman Forever is just bad. Its not enjoyably awful. Jim Carrey actually really gives a good performance, not a cheesy good one like Uma and Arnold do in the sequel. Aside from the fact that Batman adopts a 35 year old man in his penthouse (not remotely gay at all), its just not that laughably bad. Its completely forgettable.

Best thing about it is Nicole Kidman in her prime

I thought Val was pretty good as Batman. Michael Keaton definitely made the right decision to back out.

Always thought she was overrated as far as an actress is concerned.

Never understood the downright hatred for Batman Forever. The film does have its cheesy moments but I think it balances the goth and neon lights pretty well. I really liked Jim Carrey as The Riddler and didn't really mind Val Kilmer as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

And I'm sorry…but this is one of the best scenes in the original franchise.

Why can't you just DIE?!

Batman & Robin was the first movie in the history of Hollywood made solely to sell toys. They seriously took a toy line and designed a movie around it.

Judging from the racing in this movie, is Gotham here full of nothing but endless pits that continue to another city below?
