That is fricking pathetic. What a dickbag. No wonder he wasn't starting. Coach must've been at least cool enough to let him start on Senior night, and he does that? Loser for life. He will regret that one day.

ETA: If I ever see that short motherfricker that coached our high school secondary again, I'm gonna knock his arse out. So yeah, I get it. Just a dick move to frick over whatever teammates may have cared about winning the game.

If he was doing it as a solidarity move to support his fellow seniors who got pushed off the team (according to youtube, a coach and father of a underclassman are tight) to play for the future, then good for him. However, he will likely regret later in life if this was just a selfish frick you to the coach for benching him..

Yea it really depends on the situation. Like I said I can understand where this kid is coming from and have seen my friends take it a step too far but justly so but at the same time I have also seen friends bitch and moan about a situation they think is unfair when in fact they were in the wrong.

But also a move like that if the game actually matters, the situation has to be an asburd one for it really to be a justified action.

coach played him since it was senior night

One of my best buddies did this on his senior night for our basketball team. My buddy was like the hardest working dude on the team and was a pretty productive player. The coach always had an agenda against him and he never seemed to get the minutes he deserved. The night before senior night our coach tells my buddy that he will start the game and play significant minutes.

That never happened and with about 2 minutes left in the game the coach calls down the bench and motions for my buddy to go in. He stares straight faced at the court and never moves a muscle. Just sat there while the coach tried to sub him in. Everybody loved it.

Sooo according to the stats the other guy was better. Saving 3% more shots. That makes senior a douche.

A buddy of mine did something similar our junior year. Was about 10 seconds left in the game and coach told him to go in. Buddy said no, i ain't going in for 10 seconds. Coach used to play for LSU. He couldn't believe it. Was pretty funny.

The article says that the goalie got a 10-game suspension (most likely for the flipoff), nothing mentioned about anyone else getting punished.
