Iron and Wine. So much better live.

John Mayer. Went to his concert as a fan of his radio songs and heard all these other songs that were even better than his radio stuff. He blew my mind. Even my husband who only went because I dragged him there was impressed and said, "This guy is good!"

Took the wife to BCSF last year. Not a country fan but Keith Urban put on one of the most entertaining shows I've ever seen. I became a fan and told her I'd take her to any concert he was playing again.

Already liked them but Killswitch Engage live is amazing to behold. Saw them when Howard Jones was still in the band. Adam Dutkiewicz is alone worth the price of admission to watch.

I was in love with Aerosmith when I was in high school. Then I saw them live, and they absolutely sucked. They were so drugged out that they could not play their instruments, and Steven Tyler actually fell off the stage while waiving his arms over his head. Haven't had much use for them since.

I was in the Army when Dash Rip Rock got started, and my first exposure was Let's Go Smoke Some Pot. I wasn't that impressed when I first heard the song. When I got out of the Army and returned to Baton Rouge I saw Dash Rip Rock live. They were without a doubt the best bar/small club band I've ever seen.

When was that? I saw them twice in the 90's and they were amazing.

Spin Doctors

When in college and working radio, I had to shuttle the singer, bassist, and manager from their bus to the station and back. I must say they were pretty cool and polite. Guitarist was high as a kite.
