Why use Barb's over Archers when attacking? I like the distance the archers can get from the target. Especially walled in resources. They can shoot over walls and get currency while Barb's hack at the walls while getting pummeled by defenses.

They are cheaper too.
I mainly go after 50% destruction and as much loot as I can carry. Would Barb's help or hurt in that endeavor?

i usually run 100 goblins, 25 barbs, and 3 WB

I'm still partial to Barbs.... I've been running 96 Barbs, 96 archers, 4 wall breakers now for awhile

I usually run 8 WBs and then like 80 archers/80 goblins. This is strictly farming tho, not even caring about trophies.
I could probably switch in barbs for archers and still accomplish what I needed.

someone finally used the black man riding a pig DE troop against me. 6 of them. they didn't make it past my 2nd wall without being killed.
same guy also dropped 22 giants and a healer.
complete waste of elixir. he didn't get a single star.

1st raid with majority barbs and it was real good. Alot has to do with set up of their base. If its a big square with minimal inner walls they do work.

I've been running 12 giants, 20 goblins, 40 barbs, 4 wall breakers, and a healer. Plus 5 valkyrie and 15 minions.
It's nice being able to supplant the DE troops in place of regular troops. Helps save regular elixir. The Valkyrie I just count as 5 extra giants. They hit with a little more damage but have a little less health. The minions are flying archers. But with a little more health and deal more damage. The hawg riders are glorified barbs that can jump walls. Don't use them b/c I already run with plenty of barbs and I run with wall breakers.
