can they have a different recruiting staff for each sport? or is the recruiting department responsible for sending out LSU info to all prospective athletes?

I can almost guarantee Saban got ahold of Emmert and proposed this rule change. This rule will mean the rich get richer and because Saban has unlimited funds, the rest of the haves will be forced to keep up.
If I'm LSU, I hire Shaq for a dollar a year to be here for official visits.

Uraban and the big ten coaches not happy with the change and relaxed recruitment rules. Not sure why since the rules apply to all the teams. Is true however SEC always get the cream of the crop in recruitment. I don't see how changing the rules one way or the other would alter this.
Guess this will end the recruit saying "coaches stopped calling, or never contacted me" I would think that a top recruits IN Box will be overflowing every day.

The coaches are afraid of working themselves to death in order to stay in the game. You know damn sure that Saban will require the rest of his staff to work like robots just like him with this new rule. The consequence of this is that every other program with national championship aspirations will do the same in order to compete. If I was a position coach at one of these colleges, I'd take the first NFL job that's offered to me just to get out of having to spend hours calling kids for 365 days out of the year.

Saban just hired a Staff of 28 people that work only in Football and they can recruit on campus. Asst Coaches will only have to do what they've always done.
