(or whatever other name you call them)are they still against the law to kill? My gosh them suckers are everywhere. Surely their population is large enough.

I had one dive bomb me paddling to one of my fishing spots one afternoon... I came between the momma and the lil ones on accident... First instinct was to jab it with the paddle and ended up breaking its neck..

The kid i was with still tells that story every day as it was the funniest thing he has seen in his life

and yeah they are EVERYWHERE down here.

On Lake Guntersville up here in N. Bama them SOBs killed an entire island with their droppings. Get too close to it..and it REEKs of their crap. Totally trash.

I hate a water turkey.

Presidential Geese...Never heard that one..but I heard another one with respect to "Geese"...and I can see the relationship.

I have a "buddy" that shot one several years ago and when he went to stomp it in the mud realized it had a band on it.

That one never got called in.

water turkey is an anhinga. not as common as the cormorant, a/k/a Cordon negro. both fish eaters though.
