I always let them in for the free one room cleaning then tell them I don't use a vacuum bc the cleaning lady brings her own.

They make ridiculous money on those. Like I said, my cousin sold my dad the top of the line one with all accessories for $500. You're a chump if you pay $2900

My mom has owned 2 rainbows. She gave me and the wife her first and upgraded. They are unmatched in the vacuum world. Would never buy one, very nice to have one

I found a practically new Kirby for $250 on Craigslist and you can buy a new Royal 8300 for the same or less than a POS plastic Dyson.

I agree. What's was funny, the last time I did it the guy seemed upset I wasn't buying. He decided to bring in the closer(his boss) and she went into the spill again. I told her no as well an her reply was," you must not care about your kids." She said all other vacuums put alergens into the air. I said I actually do care about them which is why I'm not spending a couple if thousand on something that sucks dirt from the carpet. I said I fact we may go on vacation instead. She told me that was a typical spoiled answer. So i went ahead and showed her the door and as she was leaving I told her to try an avoid hitting my spoiled wife's new car with her mini van. I know tl;dr

My wife bought one a couple years ago. She seems to enjoy it, I don't touch it much.

Sitting here with my buddy that used to sell them. He said cost for them was $500. He would sell the big ones for $1200. No idea why these idiots are trying to make $1500-2k commission. Said he made more money than most of the people in BR because what he sold them for

A dyson, lol. Get a $60 one from Walmart if it's too hard to clean up crumbs with one, get some fricking balls, not a dyson.

Use to the Rainbow a couple years ago and sold a few of them. They have financing plans and such but very expensive but worth it. Because I did enough demos in a certain time period I got to buy mine for $600. They're the best I've ever used

I hope none of you are my friends in real life. I'd be embarrassed to hang out with a guy who knows what the best vac is, much less how it stacks up to other ones. W T F ?

She wanted to get me a drink before we started talking about numbers. I laughed and said just tell me how much. When she said $2900 I just laughed. I think they start that high so they can go down and make you think you are getting a great deal

We have a 150 dollar shark that's every bit as good as a dyson.

You know, it could very well be a great vacuum, but the sales tactics as explained above are what turn me off completely. Most products have ads and retail space, yet Rainbow decides to pay door-to-door salesmen $500 commission per vacuum, and they allow them to employ dishonest tactics to get through the door. One tactic I've seen is a guy came to my door claiming to be conducting an air quality survey. He asked me 3 or 4 questions about my opinion on the air quality in my house and outdoors and said I would be entered to receive a free gas card. I get a call that evening that I "won." I just have to watch a rainbow vac demo. Another one I've seen set up at various locations is an offer to enter a drawing for an air purifier (it's the one they peddle with the rainbow vac). They offer prizes if you give them a bunch of your friends/family members' names and phone numbers so they can do demos there. Crap like that immediately turns me off.

Wood floors for the win. Sweep and a damp mop. $10.
