As of yesterday, they are in studio recording their new album.

It will either be released "as soon as possible or next winter".

Depends on the competition, Pat says.

my favorite OR song

saw them back in August at Spanish Moon. I'm not a huge fan or anything, but it was a good show.

I never listened to them until I started working with the bass player...and then I found out my boss's brother plays drums for them. Cully is the NICEST guy and comes in pretty much every day. I listen to them now. They were on hiatus for awhile and nobody was sure if they would get back together but they seem to be back on track now.

Will actually came in today! That was cool.

Is he the original drummer?? That guy used to have the silliest grin when he played and loved to do the hair metal stick twirl all through the set (but I think that guys name was Travis... I think)...

Nope, he's only been with them for a few years...he also plays for the Afghan Whigs and used to be the drummer for Cursive.

I think Okkervil River are great. Will Sheff is an amazing lyricist. I was just listening to Roky Erickson's "True Love Cast Out All Evil" album last night. Okkervill River was the backing band and Will Sheff produced it. Fantastic.

One of my favorite songs- Lost Coastlines
