This doesn't establish shite. Prayer does not refer to Christianity.

Yes. Yes they are. Nobody stops kids from silently praying to themselves, or from praying in a group as long as its not during instructional time and is not disruptive. Nobody has infringed on your right to prayer. There is just a prohibition on using the official apparatus of the school to do it. (Teachers, P.A. system, etc)

Student-led prayers are conducted over the PA system during 1st period every day at my school. The school even observes National Prayer Day, where all students meet on the front lawn under the flag pole.

I've never understood why this is an issue. WTF are these kids doing that's so bad that they don't have enough time to pray outside of school hours? If you want to pray, then pray.

Don't care. If there was as much time spent actually teaching and fixing the issues that truly have an impact on this country, then they can worry about prayer in public schools. For frick's sake. Is this really the biggest issue that Mississippi's educational system is facing?

Apparently Mississippi thinks it's important enough to pass legislation. It's really none of my concern since I live in GA.

Why isn't this understood? Any student beginning tomorrow can sit at his/her desk and say any prayer they want silently before each and every class if they so desire. In fact...ALL students could do this provided they don;t disrupt the class. Why must the ENTIRE school take part in some organized fashion in order for some people to be happy about their prayer? The fact that these folks simply can't be honest about this is what bothers me the most about this.
