Ha, I wouldn't have posted it if you hadn't reminded me by posting yours. I just like this one better. The crazy thing about him is that there could be a highlight video done without any of the plays on this one and it would still be great. Just a fantastic college football player.

I'll add that he has a long and proven history with developing pro QBs. You can't look at the QB's he's directly coordinated (Rivers, Brees, Flacco quickly come to mind) and say that they've achieved *in spite of* CC. Well, a Rantard COULD say that, but it'd be a stretch to do so. Also, LSU is capable of recruiting the type of talent necessary to run a “true” pro style offense. We’ve tried for years to use coordinators who have mostly collegiate experience to manage this offense, makes sense (and is perhaps long past due) to turn the reins over a man who’s lived and breathed coordinating in the pros for a decade.

If the guy can bring in an actual screen package and more than one or two throws to the TE per game, HIRE HIM!

Cameron would be as big a Hire as Chavis IMO. First of all, I believe Les would trust him more with the offense and not completely surrender it to Cam, but give him more control. Second, Cam's offenses could run the ball out of a similar offense to what we have very effectively. Not to mention his QB Development has been great. IF we can get this guy, it would be H.U.G.E. It would give us more ammo for Bama, if nothing else. If Les pulls this off, he earns his paycheck.....without question.

Interesting point. I can see that as a good argument in recruiting. "Our OC has as much, if not more, NFL experience than Saban, was left to clean up Saban's mess at Miami, and oh yeah, helped groom a QB named Brees that Saban passed on while at Miami." That would at least counter the current thinking/myth that Saban's Alabama program is the most NFL like in the SEC. I don't know how much any individual coach's presence sways a recruit. My guess is it's only a small piece of the overall package that a recruit an his family use to make the decision. Still, I think Cameron's presence would only be a positive in the recruiting process. Sean Payton, while at the Giants, was benched from the very job that he's now considered a wizard at. Look at Bill Belichick and the Browns, Pete Carroll and the Patriots. NFL Coaches get fired and hired all the time. Cameron being fired from the Ravens doesn't bother me. His body of work outweighs any one season for me.

Have there been any legitimate sources stating Cam might come to LSU?

Scarborough on Buddy Songy's show when asked if Cam Cameron was the next OC? "Where there is smoke...there's fire" I think & hope its a done deal. Would be a huge get and would give LSU one of the best coaching staffs (Miles/Cameron/Chavis)in the NCAA.

A truism 50 years ago. These days, where there's smoke, there's probably a smoke making machine.

Ha yeah, if it came out of Buddy's mouth then it wouldnt be worth very much but I do put faith in Scarborough. He very rarely speaks on things until he can or he knows to be true.
