baseball america has us pre-season #10, i think they have unc 1, vandy 2, arkansas maybe 3, usce 4 somethink like that.

SEC baseball is more loaded than SEC football. Its going to be ten weekends of dog fights and a tourney, that could rival the CWS in terms of top trier teams, to survive and come out of that conference on top.

As almost impossible as this seems, I tend to agree. A year when the SEC has less than 8 postseason bids and less than 4 regional hosts is a down year for the conference.
The one thing killing our records is ourselves, playing knock down drag out series weekend after weekend.
It's crazy seeing some of the Friday night pitcher's records at seasons end (a la Stratton, Wahl)... Ace pitchers that face ace pitchers.
Friday night SEC battles are something special.

The point is that preseason baseball rankings have zero relevance. It isn't like football where you only have so many games to make up for bad preseason perceptions. If the worst team from last year wins 50 games this year they will make a regional and have a chance to go to Omaha.
