Man when I went through they just said to show up with orders, pen, paper, toothbrush/paste and razor/shaving cream.
The rest you will buy/be issued.

make sure you wear the most unique and noticeable civilian clothing possible for your first day. bright colors and wild patterns are preferable.

Also watch out for questions like "was anyone's parent a firefighter?" It's just a way to assign you a duty. ...
Actually, that might not be a bad one to raise your hand for, I think that was for the fire monitor. Pretty easy job if I recall.

You Army guys act like its so much different on Army FOBs.
I stayed at many a'Army FOB, including Camp Arifjan when I was attached to Army motorpool units.
The TMC there had condoms, there was a swimming pool, softball/soccer fields, vollyball/basketball courts, a PX that was 2x's the size of the one on the closest AF base, and better chow hall food. The only shitty thing about the place was all the damn "fun/moral/unit" runs to celebrate every time somebody in the Army farted.
P.S. Dont forget the special living quarters for married Army personnel to be able to live/sleep together during deployment.
P.S.S. When I was at frequent flier (pun intended) at Big Louie's outside of Ft. Leonardwood, there was ALWAYS Army guys STILL in boot-camp that were on weekend pass at at the strip club.

Have you ever had a prostate exam?
But for real though, it's pretty invasive but not that bad, and you'll barely notice the investigation.
I actually did a FOIA request for my investigation records years later and I was amazed by the amount of people they talked to.

Posting on here wont help First rule of Security Clearance is you dont talk about it.
I was a PJ during the late 80's. I had top secret while overseas and then once I became an instructor I only had secret. They will do a background check on you like none other. They will call friends, bosses, family etc... My son is a SEAL and he had two minor drug arrests in school. It did not stop his top secret from going thru.

Yea. When deployed to the far east, the Marines made protection mandatory.
And by mandatory, I mean hours of watching slides of infected male and female genitals. By the end of the day, sex was the last thing anyone wanted.

No bullshite, this was one of the jobs on my personal cross training list.
When I started my SERE/TACP package though I essentially ended my career without even knowing it. Sucked.
