I agree that the band is underrated. Not by music critics, but by the general public. I'd put them on the same level as CCR, but they don't get that kind of recognition from the general public.
Just because something is popular doesn't mean it is somewhat underrated.

Deep Purple - Why they are not in the Rock & ROll Hall of Fame is a mystery, but since they aren't they are by definition underrated by the voters.

Hell yes!!!! Clutch is phenomenal!! I'm glad they're underrated though because IMO the best way to see them is in a smaller, more intimate venue that holds anywhere from 300 to 1000.
