I'm 8 episodes in now. Really enjoying it. Fincher has done it in the same style as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. You can see the Lisbeth/Mikael influence coming through in the Zoe/Frank relationship.
At first I wasn't sure how to watch this. Was it supposed to be a mini-series or longer series? I feel like it's kind of a cross between them. Some episodes can stand on their own and others really rely on prior knowledge. Granted I'm only half way through.
Spacey kills his role. I love his relationship with Claire.
* POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW*
I'm guessing that there are several "house of cards" that are going to fall, but I feel like Frank and Claire's relationship will be a big one. Jealousy and lust will break up their powerful team. Zoe and that photographer guy are getting in too close with Frank and Claire.

I noticed Fincher doesn't direct every episode. Joel Schumacher was Director for Episode 6, for example.

The 13 episodes up are the entire first season. Pretty sure season two is confirmed to be happening, but I don't think there has been a release date set yet. Probably at least a year though I'd think.
