The bridge would cost millions of dollars... You have a power line a gas line and a rail road to deal with. You can pay the cop 30 bucks an hour to handle it.
And actually I would say the people walking have no impact on traffic at Nicholson. Because even if there was a bridge the officers would be out there stoping traffic letting the cars from the stadium cross.

They've been saying that for almost 20 years. When they 3 laned Brightside, it was supposed to be 4 lanes and a renovation of that intersection. Somehow, it got built as a 3 lane with no changes to the intersection.

If there's anything I've learned from growing up near BR all ofmy life, it's that no matter how much planning, designing, studying and consensus, it will never get done on time, it will never get done on budget, and in the end, it may never get done at all. The loop was studied, designed, and nearly built over 25 years ago. We were supposed to have a Mississippi River bridge at Brightside over 15 years ago. I hope and pray and will continue to petition the city to fix this intersection, but I won't hold my breath.

How about a bridge at Bertman and Nicholson. Allow commuters to safely walk to class across Nicholson. There is never a traffic cop and a bridge would help drivers and pedestrians safer each morning and afternoon.

Yea there isn't a cop but there is a little man that says walk or a hand that Says don't walk... It's really not a hard concept.

This tells me that you have never been to a baseball game at LSU. A cop out there? Where? I have been to probably 10 games at the new Box and have never seen a single cop out there directing traffic and allowing people to cross safely.

Yes really. You sure you don't cross at Nicholson extension? Because there's never a cop there since there isn't a crosswalk there.

I'm a season ticket holder and park on the other side of Nicholson for every game. There's always a cop there
