 you are better than this.....go to UGA or Bama and you can walk out of the stadium and be at the downtown bar scene in 5 mins.

The idea is that kids are wanting to live as close to campus as possible now and theyre trying to cater to the out of state kid. If you put a grocery and other entertainment options in this development. Along with a light rail or street car connecting to downtown, you wouldnt have to drive hardly at all. Im all for it.

Do you know what they are going to do with the land that all the houses were leveled b/w the chinese restaurant and motorcycle shop?

I like it. Thanks for posting this.
LSU built some decent student housing about 12 years ago, but hasn't done much other than traditional dorms since then. The school is behind in this area, although I'm not sure how excited students will be about living near a rail road track.
Student housing is a good revenue base, and a street car line would be great for LSU.

No...what I'm saying is the entire system switched over then.
Like it started then. WCA and ECA haven't been done again, they were one time things.
And the Campus Apts. at Tech have some pretty cool vistas, like over looking the baseball field.

Guy from laffayette was going to build a similar-type development. He lost his arse in 2008 so it's been on hold.
As an aside, had we approved Kip's Bond Issue, the sewer plant behind that would have been eliminated.
