He already writes screenplays. He'll probably write book after book and find some douchey way to be successful and survive in this suck, sick world he forces himself to live in.

he was the King of Ames Iowa with an entire University bending over for him. Is it any wonder he became an entitled douchebag and has zero perspective?

What is he living on? He hasn't played yet and I didn't think he had signed a contract yet either. So where is he getting money?

he smoked pot once and had a bad experience and now thinks he is the most enlightened motherfricker walking around

it's really easy to see why he'll most likely fail after reading that article

Dammit, I read the title as "Roddy White" and was ready to argue with some Saints fans.

How could you argue that fact?

It would reinvent the power dynamic, effectively allowing players to dictate when they were healthy enough to participate.

lol what. in no sport can the coach force a player to play if he says he can't play

what are they gonna do, make him run? he could just go stand in one spot and say his leg was bothering him so he can't run

but saying team docs don't necessarily have the players best interest at heart is true.

which is why I have no problem with him demanding he and the team choose a doctor together.

they knew he had mental issues when they drafted him.

too bad so sad if they don't like that he cares more about his mental well being than a game.

yes I did.

I actually agree with him on several of the points he makes.

mental illness is no joke and its about time this country starts taking it more seriously.

do you think mental illness is as pervasive as he does?

I agreed with him on a lot of it too. I don't see what's wrong with using the platform he's currently on to try and help folks that face the same struggles he does. I didn't agree with how he categorized mental illness across the board though.

He's made it clear in multiple interviews that he'd rather have mental health than make it in the league. Props to him for trying to make a difference.

I agree that its probably over 26%. I don't have a problem with him saying that addiction to drugs, booze, and gambling etc are also mental illnesses because he also talks about how they are not all equal.

quote:

The reality is that you can't black-and-white it, no matter how much you want to. You have to be OK with it being gray. There is no end or beginning. It's more individualistic. If someone tears a ligament, there is a grade for its severity. But there's no grade with mental illness. It all has to do with the person and their environment and how they are affected by that environment.

I see no problem with this.

and it is completely possible over half this country has mental issues due to a variety of reasons.

But that also doesnt mean all of those people have severe issues.

If he's legitimately mentally ill, I don't see why people rag on him so much.

I don't know if he is or not, but it's interesting to see the reactions considering a couple months ago everyone was prescribing that we need "better care for our mentally ill" only to turn around and shite all over someone who is potentially mentally ill.

You sure about that? If the doctors clear a player, and he refuses to play, that's probably a violation of the contract.

Because he always seems to freak out the second a D-league assignment looms imminent. He is legitimately batshit fricking crazy, but I get the impression that he also uses his status to manipulate others into giving him his way.
