I don't think anyone really says TiVo anymore.

Older people do. My parents, and my fiancee's parents always say they make sure to "Tivo" the games even though they each have DirecTV DVR

Coke... is every soft drink in the south.
I've seen this posted here, but I have never heard coke used as a term for all soft drinks. Tupperware would be my contribution to the thread.

I grew up in Louisiana. People always said, do you want something to drink. Personally, I would offer coke because I had coke. Sprite, if I had sprite. Root beer if I had root beer. And so on.

Coke, of course. I've heard people call Big Red a red coke before. They weren't white people... but I've heard it.

I've never heard people refer to brands other than coke as coke. Though, some, including myself, refer to Pepsi as watered down coke.

I have honestly never had that happen. I did go to Ohio once and someone offered a pop. When I asked what they had and they said sprite I asked wy they didn't just say sprite.
