i read this whole article yesterday and there is nothing in it that would implicate bama cheating. It talked about those stupid balance magnet things for the first third and then other nonsensical bull shite. The guys running this company are the biggest con artists and there is very little scientific evidence to back up any of their claims. The deer antler spray sounds like the biggest load of shite if Ive ever heard one.

So if I understand this correctly, some Bama players went to a hotel room two nights before the NC game was given "stickers" to put on their wrist, which everyone in this thread agrees is total BS as far as it helps your athletic ability.

There was "discusssions" about deer antler spray, but none taken. Only one player admitting that he already had some. But let's assume they all took this deer antler spray in the hotel room. I'm no doctor, not even close, but even if this spray contained human growth hormones I couldn't imagine that it could make them any bigger and stronger in 2 days. Were they cheating? Possibly. Did the meeting that night have any impact in the game? HELL NO!!!

This doesn't have anything to do with LSU, however if the Bama players took a banned substance prior to the game, even if there was no time for an affect, there will be repercussions.

You can bet that this will land on somebodies desk at the NCAA, "check it out".

For LSU fans there is a lot of schadenfreude, but that is all. I don't find it hard to believe that athletes are gullible idiots.

Why is it banned? If it does nothing why can it elevate levels of it in your body?

Deer antler isn't banned. IGF-1 is banned. IGF-1 is in deer antler spray. BUT, it comes with only ~800 nanograms per day......injected IGF-1 (the real stuff) comes at 333,333 nanograms per day. Additionally, it is not possible to transfer the IGF-1 to the user through the mouth. Injecting IGF-1 absolutely works....but, mouth spray stuff is a total scam.

In other words, deer antler spray does nothing.

You really think that if ANY media outlet has an opportunity to take Bama down, they wouldn't? You really think they would prefer to take down an LSU program instead of the program that won the last two NCs, and 3 of the last 4?

Really?

i'm not in the black helicopter crowd, but i do think that LSU receives a little more critical coverage in the post-JJ, post-TM7 world. this is largely a problem of our own making, but that doesn't diminish the trueness of it. remember the time Pete Thamel was accused of attempting to bribe a bar owner into providing info for a TM article? LINK

and even if the NCAA were to vacate bama's 1/9 win, that doesn't un-ring the bell that we lost that game. i mean, reggie bush had to give his heisman back, but we all know that he won it that year.

this is an interesting story, but there's not much more to it than that. frankly, i don't give a shite about bama outside of the weeks leading up to the LSU-bama game.

Who gives a frick....they had no need to cheat, LSU didn't show up.

It doesn't matter if every member injected testosterone every day for the whole month leading up to the game! THEY WHIPPED LSU like we weren't there.

Does anyone really think LSU lost because we were the only team with cell signals running thru our bodies? LOLOLOLOLOL

Why yes, yes it does! Print the shirts. LSU's 124 national championship, dating back to 1908.

Well then we have 1 more than Bama who has 123

JJ admitted using the deer antler stuff on 1/9. That's why he looked like a deer in the headlights the whole game. Actually, I think he had the actual deer antler on his head when he threw the underhand pick.

Miles' contract should make injections of that extract between his ears mandatory.

I am sure Nick was on top of this. I am sure he'll come out soon with his findings. But we won't know what that will be because he handles these things internally.
