This thread reveals how screwed we are as a nation. Christie isn't a Republican? Good god, conservative is a shoe box to you guys it seems. Who cares if he is socially liberal, this is about nominating someone that's a real physical conservative.
Republicans got there arse kicked on social issues but they still haven't learned their lesson. Tisk, tisk

I gave the reason I don't think he's legitimate and I think that same reason applies to his definition as a conservative or republican.

Christie gave Obama a serious electoral nudge at a critical point in the election. Depending on you preferred ideology...that ought to pretty much make the decision process easy.
Christie will NEVER be forgiven by true Conservatives. If you can find some that won't sell out for a buck.

He's not "afraid" of Rush and Fox, because he's working his fat arse off to the be ultimate RINO. When that strategy is not his best chance for extending his political power, he'll become a democrat or an "independent". Boss Hog needs his political crown, no matter what it takes to get it.

Chris Christie is about Chris Christie and being the governor of New Jersey until he explodes from mixed berry pie and ice cream. He has no National office aspirations and so he can afford to play both sides of the aisle for political expediency. He is not the answer to anything.

You seem way too hung up on labels (D & R)
Christie is a moderate who gained some notoriety by going after the unions. He has never been someone a strong conservative. A fat wishy washy "moderate" with a temper isn't going to win many national elections.
