The dead giveaway for alters is seeing them in the Help Board. Nobody goes to the help board this early in their TD lives. I thought the HB was for nerds for like a year and never came here
Unless Photoshop is a hobby and you are directed to the avi/sig sticky from the Fark Board.

I think you are misremembering that thread. He had like 9 pieces of Hornets gear and 8 of them were free shite given away at games.

I've never understood why you don't allow them. If everyone had multiple alters, wouldn't that artificially increase your user count, thereby enabling you to increase your ad rates? Food for thought.

If you could just create alters at will, then people wouldn't follow any of the other rules and this place would be chaos

I don't know. The wild west days of pre-registration got out of hand every now and then, but overall, people were generally well-behaved. Anyway, with this site's army of admins, nothing inappropriate would last for very long. Not that I'm itching to create a bunch of alters (My one and only attempt in 2007 was squashed after 1 post, haha). People can already do that if they really wanted to. I was just wondering if, in fact, doing so would have the effect I mentioned above. Then again, I suppose it has more to do with average traffic than total number of users.

yeah, I'm pretty sure that is Arazelle or whatever her name was. their posting is really similar and plus, Arkla Missy has said she lives in Louisiana like Zelle. blueboy, it wouldn't be good if people could just create alters at will. and I'm pretty sure lurkers contribute to ad revenue also so that wouldn't increase.
