I love revisionist history.

Agreed. LSU wasn't the dominant team in the country. USC was the unanimous #1 pick preseason 2007. LSU was anywhere from #2-#6. The year prior (2006) they were anywhere from #6-#21 preseason. The year following the NC, we were preseason #6-#13 until we lost our starting QB and then shite went downhill. There hasn't been a time since I was watching LSU football that we had a span of more than a year where we were the dominant team in the SEC, SECW, or FBS. We were basically where we are now except not losing our starting QB.

Stupid. Just because people have opinions or criticisms that are inconsistent with people who believe they are super fans and see the program like a parent who is spoiling their child that can do no wrong doesn't make fans care any less for the program or team.

The guy is stating his opinion that A&M will be better than LSU. Will they? Who knows, but they are returning the Hesiman trophy winner and looked very good last year with their best games toward the end of the year. I hope we'll be better and think it's a possibility, but I have my reservations about Miles.

I'm probably one of the bigger basketball fans on the board, but have somewhat realistic opinions of the team, although I may be higher on the players and coaches than most others. I think Kentucky is better, however, and that we likely drop the game. Should I too take a hike since I have these opinions and stop supporting the basketball team?

bowl selection has nothing to do with where you rank in the SEC, otherwise the Outback wouldn't have taken SCar. It's all about matchups, tv ratings, and this year heavy politics from the SEC office to get UGA into the Cap One otherwise aTm was going there and we were going to the Cotton.

LSU finished second in the west, we beat aTm head to head and there is no argument that can dispute it.

returning heisman winners, especially quarterbacks, have not fared very well in the past. SEC defenses will be ready for him next year......if he can stay out of the casinos.

Who Cares. We worry about our games and win them. It does not matter what we are ranked.

I don't think A&M will be so fortunate this year. After a quarter, LSU, Bama, and Florida figured out that offense

Your ignorance of the program is showing. How does a team get supplanted by a team they defeated on the road?

LSU beat Bama on the road last year, and I'm pretty sure they've won 2 straight and 3/4 championships. Maybe winning on the road isn't the be-all-end-all.

I'm not saying they did it. I'm saying what they did in their first season in the toughest division of the toughest league in CFB...pay attention now..., with a completely new coaching staff and a new QB, was nothing short of remarkable.

add to that their recruiting base, big money donors, exciting style of play, media hype and AA head coach, and everyone had better look out, especially LSU.

suck it. first off, we beat them. are they a good program, yes. might they have a shot at a better year than us the next year or so? yes. However, that's a ridiculous statement based off of what we know. regardless or their coaches superiority.
