He needs to improve his lower body strength.

Has already stated that he'll sit out the year instead of taking a coordinator job.

And his technique and his run stopping and his block shedding and his instincts. Then, he'll be good to go.

How about we trade him to the Patriots and he makes the ProBowl in 2 years.

Better yet, we can just cut him, and get nothing in return.

Why can't he make the pro bowl with the Saints?

I was big supporter of Martez, but he is nothing but a special teams player that the experimented at DE.

I'm a bit weary of bringing in a new DC and starting off at square one again next year.

I heard on the radio that Spags was at the Sr. Bowl this week.

he is still hear. He is down there right on the sidelines as we speak. He isn't to far from where the NFL Network crew is located.

Does he seem to be looking for a job?

You know Sid, he didn't have any Saints gear on.

I just think Loomis is a cap guy and the evaluations on offense go to Sean Payton. We've drafted a ton of defensive players under Loomis and very few ever had impacts. We do better in FA for defensive talent, IMO. It seems we have a problem with projecting potential of defensive players coming out of the draft. That's why I'm hoping the Saints trade back and get as many picks as possible. Hopefully a blind squirrel can find a nut and find a hidden gem like Graham.

IMO, our evaluations have largely been busts on defense. We draft better in lower rounds anyway. Trade back in the first and get a 2nd to go with it...that would nice.

You'd be correct.

Haslett and Payton have called te shots with regards to the draft, trades and FA signings.

However, loomis has only hired one coach so he looks like a fricking genius.

I'm aware of that. I wouldn't necessarily be against hiring a new guy. I'm just afraid that if we do replace spags, we'll be in the same position we were last season adjusting to a whole new scheme again, while with spags we might hit the ground running. But I'm not married to that opinion.

I don't think Spags in the problem, it's more personnel to me.
