New Federal laws require a bunch of crap to prove that you are you. Pain in the ass. I had to go back home and gather: Birth Certificate SS Card Power or other utility bill in addition to the old license License was cracked so just wanted a new one as I was about to fly to Baltimore and didn't want TSA problems caused by a cracked license. Normal renewal date would be March and this trip to DMV was in December. New license and renewal was $54 DAMN DOLLARS! That shite used to be about $15 from what I remember.

It was really sucky. CO DMV isn't htat much better, I had to go get a new license since I lost mine. It took about 2 hrs of waiting.

Went last week, and commented that there should definitely be a "People of the DMV" website akin to the walmart site. If you don't think Louisiana is in a sad state as a populace, go camp out there for 30 minutes.
