Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking the end was coming for Gannicus and I realized I'd rather him live more than anyone else haha, he's too cool. I think they will have Spartacus live, we'll see him Eddie and the Cruisers style Caesar is pretty annoying so I don't know if there will be a spinoff, but there could be. One minute I don't like him, but when he's fricking with toolbag Tiberius, you like him.

He was a winner of the Civic Crown. They also had the provinces of Greece and N Africa with their own legions. They needed all the troops they could get. What do you think? He was still at the legate/tribune level. Pompey was only a general because he had his father's troops when he was 20. They had quite a few legions in Spain putting down the Sertorious revolt. Then there was Lucullus. Caesar would have been fighting somewhere, probably in Italy.
Good post. Interesting to think about. I'm sure he was involved somewhere, just not like they have him on the show. But who cares, it is good TV!

I think he is severely wounded in battle but lives, his ex wife comes to him in a vision like she did in the first season and tells him to go with her and find a life somewhere else. He still has his freedom.

I know that, but thanks anyways. My point is that it is just good tv as someone said, I do not believe at all he was part of this revolt because it is one of the major revolts against Rome, and as thus would be a footnote somwhere in Gaius Juluis Caesar's decorated history. But if they were to do a spinoff with Caesar I would like to see his head to head with Vercingetorix! Now that would be something to see. Vercingetorix was like Spartacus in his rebellion against Rome after having served in battle with Roman legions. He developed into a great commander/warrior leading a united Gaul in war. He defeated Caesar a lot in battle before finally going down. Who knows, Crixus is Gaul maybe they can ressurrect him after Spartacus to play Vercingetorix. lol

Like I posted earlier, Caesar's role in this show is fairly ridiculous. I think they should have invented that character with a invented name. But i like it nonetheless.

This season has been awesome so far. Really going to miss it when it ends. Hopefully we can get some kind of Julius Caesar spinoff

I wasn't too surprised by it, but I did think she would be for him or Ceasar. Gannicus and his young slave girl are an interesting pair.

He already has a wife, slave girl lover, and army to command. He's pretty busy.

I don't think they let Spartacus live. I think they kill him off completely in the end. I would actually like to see them let Gannicus survive it all. Of all of them, Gannicus should survive. With or with the blonde or the young brunette. A Ceaser spin off needs to happen IMO

I do. Spartacus' body was never found, I think he rides off into the sunset after all the drama, getting hit in the head with a pitcher of water in the next episode by Crixus and all that undeserving shite. Managing people is hard as hell. lol
