How does the MB feel about this legendary duo? How many babies were made to some of the smooth tunes? Heard they will be at JazzFest and I'm super jealous I don't live down there so I could go to the show.

I was shocked to realize how many popular songs they put out. It's like they owned the 80's.

They have one of the best greatest hits albums I've ever heard. Damn near every song is/was great. No fillers. Just flat out AWESOME.

Daryl Hall has the voice of an angel. Anyone saying differently has a black heart.

yea, came across their Live from Darryl's house videos about a year or so ago and watched like all of them and my love for Hall and Oates was renewed.

Who are these guys? They look like they could star on a 70s version of Will and Grace.

You should check out Live At Daryl's House on Paladia. He sits around with a bunch of musicians and they play acoustic renditions of the Hall and Oates catalog. Killer stuff.

Hall and Oates "Bigger than both of us" album circa 1976 is a tremendous album. I'm not much for their 80's straight pop stuff but I love their earlier 70's r&b pop stuff. This album is by FAR their best white boy soul effort imho.

Pure Panty Droppin music!!

LINK

Abandoned Luncheonette Album was just bedroom magic!! Saw these guys about 1978 at Old Man Rivers club somewhere near N.O. They had G.E. Smith on Lead Guitar from Saturday Night Live fame.

Live at Darryl's House is some good watching also as mentioned by others.....

I'd say I listen to it probably close to every other week. That album is like 30 songs of awesomeness. I'll hafta checkout this live stuff yal are talking about.

Can't wait to see them at Jazzfest!

Sorry to hear that!

Seriously though, they were pretty great. I love all their classics such as I Can't Go For That (No Can Do), Out of Touch, Maneater, You Make My Dreams, Every Time You Go Away, Private Eyes, and Kiss Is On My List.

She's Gone.... good stuff.

I even like the Hall single from the mid 80's "Dreamtime".

Such a sad song yet for some reason it gets me jacked-up hahah.

I will also rock "Rich Girl" at any bar around and have the entire place rocking. One of the best karaoke songs there is.
