He definitely needs to play more consistently, but the guy was born in 1990. He's still very young. He's starting to show more maturity in his effort and ability to respond positively to his own mistakes, which was a very big problem early this year and more so in his career.

Right now, he's looking like he would have been worth the option year at $3.4M, but hindsight is 20-20. Maybe declining the option was the kick in the arse that he needed. I hope we're able to bring him back at an affordable salary. He really does fill a nice role here. His rebounding compensates for Anderson and Lopez, while his defense is becoming formidable. Hell, he even drained a 3 yesterday.

To Lester Earl, you clownin'. Aminu has contributed way more this season than Ju Ju did in his entire career.

Well the Cavs just got a first rounder for a guy named Jon Leuer who is only averaging 2.4 pts a game

I really hope y'all are both right. But we can't use the "he's young" excuse for much longer. Its his 3rd year in the league and he needs to figure out that the way he has been playing lately is how he'll be successful in the league. Hopefully he figures that out and can be a solid backup SF and role player for this team down the road, or he can be a tradable player if we need help in other areas

They aren't trading Leuer for a first.

They are trading Leuer for a second + Maurice Speights + Josh Selby. This whole move is about getting rid of Maurice Speights' contract to help Memphis get under the tax.

Honestly, I think Aminu is developing about how you would expect him to. I'm not using "he's young" as an excuse as much as a justification of why he is worth resigning.
