I'd go at like 6 am (hopefully less wait) and see if they can at least get you seen before the 28th. That's some BS man, those are painful as hell. Makes you nonfunctional. I went to student health and by the next day I was having mine drained.

That's a great way to miss and make yourself incontinent. Plus, if you think it's painful now, try doing that without any lidocaine.

Friend of mine who is now stationed in NO had them. His wife said they went twice to the Navy docs and had to eventually go to the civilian docs to get it cut. Is it cause it would put us outta commission for a while?

yeah, I was... try some hot rags on it as well. might help with the swelling. they shouldnt have waited that long to do a surgery though. cutting a pi cyst out, that takes like 15 minutes for the procedure, start to finish.

and just getting it drained, instead of removing the whole thing wont do much. I did that because I was in the middle of baseball season and didnt want to be out longer than a couple of days. Had to change bandages like 3 times a day. Just get it removed, it will be worth the couple days you cant work

Are you near an urgent care? I've had a reoccurring one for about 3 years now and I know that pain. The urgent care doctors have lanced mine every time. Sit in the bath tub filled with as hot of water as you can take. This helps it form a head so the doc can slice it. Once he slices, it's immediate relief. The process however sucks. Just wait until he injects around the area with the local anisthetic. Feels like they're injecting lava into your ass. Good luck.

Ive been applying warm compresses and doing Epson salts baths. All ive literally done the past 4 days was take care of it exactly as they said. The swelling is just not stopping, pain worsening

Not looking forward to lava, but ill take that momentary pain as opposed to waiting another week before my scheduled appt on the 28th.

Like Doc said, it's a quick procedure. And there's no fricking way you're making it to the 28th. Go get it taken care of ASAP. Instant relief.

I've had 2 before. The first popped on its on after forming a head. The second was much more painful, and I went to an urgent care where they lanced it, so that it can drain. It's some of the nastiest shite I've ever seen. It's an absolute restless and miserable feeling.
