I walked to this tree stand that no one has hunted in years, just to try something different. It's mid-Rut, so i lean my rifle against the ladder and walk about 25yds to put some Ticks69 on a branch.

I get to the limb of my choosing and 5ft in the thicket stands at least 150+ class 10 point. I have no weapon. After staring at each other for what felt like a hour, i try to crawl back to my gun. The deer is never see again.

Needless to say, Ive never again put my gun down when putting out Ticks.

The one on my wall! Bow kill at that. 13 pt (8 pt frame) 20" inside spread. Scored 152 non-typical and 138 as typical 8 pt!

When I was a kid hunting Caddo Parish. Biggest deer I've ever laid eyes on and he busted me and took off running. I shot but hit a tree.

Looking back on it that deer was 180 if he was an inch. Typical but at least 14 points. Extremely tall and massive. He was also the biggest deer I've ever seen bodywise.

I already had a little buck in the ice chest and was scouting in the woods with just my 38 snubby when I saw the biggest buck I'd ever seen outside of Cades Cove. It was a big older heavy beamed 10 pt trotting through the hardwoods and breathing like a perv. I just watched him go by as I aimed at him, but I didn't think a 38 was enough gun and didn't want to get caught with two bucks.

I was probably supposed to learn to pass on little bucks that day, but I'm kinda hard headed.

10 pt hanging on my wall. He came out at 75 yards to investigate the 140lb doe that I dropped on the pipeline 20 minutes. First and best buck on a hunt ill never forget.

I passed up a 6x5 whitetail on the first day of my first time deer hunting in Canada. Probably scored in the mid to upper 150's, but this ranch was known to kill 160+ pretty regularly and it was the peak of the rut. As luck would have it, I've never seen one that big since...

When I was 10 yo me and my brother was walking around back behind our house. He had a 16ga single barrel with buckshot and I had a 410 with a slug. We walked out in the meadow and about 175yds was a monster just looking at us.

This is the reason why I make sure my kids always have enough gun.

These two GA deer. 120 class 8 and 10 point. Have seen another in this class, but couldn't get a clean shot.

I shot a huge 12 four years ago . Was sitting in the stand and two labs ran him by me . My first shot rolled him and he got up and took off again . When I got down to were he was there was a little blood . I trailed him about 30 yds and found bone . Never a deer tho . Got a trail cam pic a month later and almost blew his leg off

Big tall 8 probably would score 125" (huge for central FL)

Saw him two times while bow hunting but each time he was over 100 yards out...

1. Saw monster
2. Shot monster
3. Monster goes down behind bush within sight, but not able to get another shot
4. About 30 minutes later monster jumps barb wire fence and appears to stumble
5. Wait for about an hour
6. Proceed to look for monster
7. About 30 minutes into search, monster trucks through the brush about 20 feet from my dad and I down a valley never to be seen again
8. Go hunting that same afternoon and kill an 11 pt with drop time but will never forget the deer from the morning
