BIG snowflakes and sleet. Ground is already white. Road is slushy. Generator gassed up. Extra fuel. Firewood brought in out of the weather. Expect the power to go out in a couple of hours. Last time I hunted in snow and sleet this bad, a big 8 pointer walked down the trail by my stand. Easy to see with all that snow on the ground. Pulled the trigger on that smokepole and it went...click.

SW Virginia. Late muzzleloader ended last week. Just talkin about the snow and rememberin huntin in a snowstorm during the late season a couple years back...

I enjoy huntin with snow on the ground. Deer stand out against that snow like a big pimple on the end of your nose. And it's easier to see which trails they're using most. I'll take all the help I can get.
